Author Billy P. Hickey was born in the Barrabool Hills on September 10, 1994, as a crappy analog TV flickered vision of the Geelong and Footscray Qualifying Final in the background.
Born with incredibly advanced hearing and comprehension of the English language, Billy entered the world just as Sandy Roberts called out “Billy, you are King of Geelong!”. And he has lived by that mantra to this day.
Often found eating a kebab at 3am on Moorabool Street after a night out at Lambys, Billy spends his spare time sinking Furphys at Eastern Beach and sitting on the steps of the Geelong Advertiser begging for a paying job.
